Peer Recovery Support Specialist
Northwood Health Systems is seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to provide substance use recovery support services. We are looking for applicants who are certified as a West Virginia Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) or are eligible to obtain PRSS certification. This full-time position provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality peer recovery support services while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals in recovery.
Peer Recovery Support Services are delivered by trained peers who share lived experience with the individuals they serve. Peer specialists help extend recovery support beyond the clinical setting into the community and home environment, encouraging continued engagement in the recovery process and promoting long-term recovery. Clinical supervision is provided.

Qualifications:
- Personal lived experience with substance use disorder
- Minimum of 2 years in recovery required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field preferred
- West Virginia PRSS Certification preferred (or eligibility to obtain certification)
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass a background check
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for supporting individuals in recovery
