Northwood is expanding its substance use recovery services and is seeking a passionate, qualified individual to join our team. This full-time Peer Recovery position will primarily involve working with individuals who are exiting incarceration and reentering the community, providing them with the support and guidance necessary to sustain long-term recovery.
We are seeking applicants who are eligible for West Virginia Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) certification and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
Peer Recovery Support Services are delivered by trained individuals who have lived experience with substance use and recovery. As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, you will use your personal experience to build trust, offer support, and extend the reach of treatment beyond the clinical setting-into the community, homes, and other reentry environments. Your role will be vital in helping justice-involved individuals stay engaged in the recovery process and successfully reintegrate into the community.
Clinical supervision will be provided.
