IT Specialist

Northwood Health Systems is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least an associate's degree in computer science or related field, or 2 years of experience in an IT support role.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2 years of experience in IT support or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems
  • Proficiency in network administration, including routers, switches, and firewalls is a plus
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare or Hyper-V
  • Knowledge of cloud-based phone systems
  • Strong understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Google Workspace
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users
  • Maintain computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Install and configure software, hardware, and peripherals
  • Monitor and maintain network security  
  • Ensure data backup and retrieval procedures are in place
  • Manage user accounts and access controls
