Behavior Support Professional

West Virginia's premiere provider of behavioral health services has a rare opportunity for an individual with experience as a Behavior Support Professional (BSP).  This rewarding position is responsible for completing assessments and developing programming to enhance the lives of intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals.  The BSP trains direct support staff on implementation of programming and monitors client progress. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Special Education, or a Human Service related field
  • Completed the Positive Behavioral Support Curriculum
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience working in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) field 
  • Exception:  Those meeting all of the requirements, however, do not have one year of IDD experience will be considered only if clinical supervision is provided by a Behavior Support Professional
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Must pass a background check
